It was founded in 2014 by Verónica Franco Vélez, its current creative director. ![]() Tigre de Salon Tigre de Salón was born as a result of the fascination for design, simple-functional objects, our ancestral traditions and the enjoyment of the everyday things in life.Today, thanks to the feedback of visions between the community and the concept of our brand, they bring those fibers to the jewelry industry. Through an ancestral technique that was born in the middle of the pacific jungle in Colombia (where the raw material for the elaboration of the crafts is found), our indigenous people extract the fiber of the palm, which in principle they only used to elaborate vases, trays and vessels, with figures that alluded to situations of the daily life, images of the past, beliefs or elements of the nature. Driven by her creativity and support for her country’s talent, she embarked on the path towards the creation of authentic pieces, which today pay tribute to the legacy of indigenous and artisanal communities in Latin America. Bamboleira Natalia Sánchez, an industrial engineer by profession, founded “bamboleira”, a Colombian brand of jewelry and accessories, in 2015.With this in mind, in 2015 Alejandra decided to explore and work with this stone, mainly in its rough state (Morralla), and since then has turned it into an essential part of the brand’s DNA. The emerald has played a very relevant role in the image of her home country, Colombia. Today she defines Fenomena´s jewelry as a mix of the modern and the classic (seeking for timeless pieces), where the emerald is the protagonist and plays a central role in the design. Fenomena Fenomena was created in 2012 by its designer and CEO Alejandra Llano.Pura Our philosophy is based on highlighting the beauty of simplicity through timeless and versatile garments with a high design content, focusing on women who believe in beauty beyond the physical and who seek garments that last over time. They called this idea “VERDI” as an ode to their late father’s last names: VER-a DIeppa. Through a renovated brand concept, both siblings reinstated an idea that even today, speaks of Colombia and its heartwarming traditions. 15 years later, after “Charlie’s” passing in 2010, his son Tomás and his daughter Cristina decided to honor his life and legacy by bringing back his craft. He would later have the idea of adding metal to these rugs. The story began in the Colombian mountains in 1995 with Carlos Vera Dieppa, a pioneer in Latin American textile design who, after meeting up with a skilled but rather skeptical coffee-sack weaver, developed a unique technique of intertwining local, natural threads and broadened a pair of looms to weave unusual fiber-rugs. Verdi VERDI is a Colombian textile studio that celebrates tradition to create unique homeware, fashion and art pieces by intertwining natural fibers with contemporary materials.
